Movie Review: Ice Age 4: Continental Drift (3D)

“Manny, Diego, and Sid embark upon another adventure after their continent is set adrift. Using an iceberg as a ship, they encounter sea creatures and battle pirates as they explore a new world.”

Ice Age 4 was an excellent continuation of the Ice Age series and included all the expected characters and typical oddball humour!

We went into a showing early afternoon which in hindsight was a bad idea as it was full of children, however this did not detract from the film which hit most key requirements of such an animated film.

The film did have lots of humour that was aimed at the older crowd watching which helped keep the film from becoming too childish however this was probably the most child-oriented film of the series so far.

Overall an excellent film to go and see with your kids, however I would say to save it consolidated loan calculator for rental/tv if you don’t have any!

As an aside the short Simpson’s film with Maggie at the start was excellent and I hope more films/cinemas show start showing short films before the feature again!
